The Wait is Over (In More Ways than One)

Just popping in quickly to announce that my newest book baby releases today! 🎉 Because I’m “going wide” rather than solo with Amazon, you may have noticed you couldn’t pre-order paperbacks there … until today. So, if you’ve been waiting for the paperbacks (like I tend to do with other authors’ releases), the wait is over. 😊 Click here if you want to go to Amazon, or this link will take you to a page from which you can access whatever digital platform you like. And as always, if you read The Daze Before Christmas and enjoy it, the biggest thanks you could give is to leave a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads. ❤️

And after two years of no income and a dwindling bank account, my family’s personal “wait” is over: my husband was offered a job in the Butte-Silver Bow County shortly after my last newsletter went out, and he starts today. 🙌🏼 It requires us to move to Silver Bow County, but we were already in the throes of putting our house on the market when he got the job, so no problem there. I praise God for seeing us through this difficult time; He stretched our finances in miraculous ways, and I have no doubt that the reason my marriage is still going strong and my daughters are still walking with the Lord is because friends and family have been praying for us all along.

That said, we have a new trial of waiting before us: waiting for our house to sell. As we wait, we need to figure out what the living situation is going to look like for us/my hubby, since his job is over an hour away from our house at the moment. With him still working on his MBA, he can’t afford to lose two-and-a-half hours each day to a commute. Will he rent a little apartment to use Monday-Thursday and come home on weekends? Or look into staying at a hotel during the workweek? Will we buy a horse camper-trailer that he’ll use down there and drive home on weekends until we sell? We don’t know yet. Another opportunity for my faith to stretch, right? 🥴

I won’t lie—I’m getting weary of feeling like we’ve been in limbo for over two years now. But God came through for us on the job-front, so I trust He’ll come through for us on bringing us a buyer for the house and supplying us with a place to live down near Butte.

In the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful November! Normally, I’d be decorating my house for Christmas today, but this year, I’m having to satiate my love for the season with festive music and Hallmark movies. 😅😭🎅🏼🎄
